Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate can be a fresher or an experienced professional with a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management. The Procurement Engineer will manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for our facade lighting projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the lighting or construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet project requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for facade lighting projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop new supplier networks.
  • Monitor and control procurement costs to stay within project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction strategies.
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure all procured materials and services meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on incoming materials.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address any quality issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns with suppliers promptly.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs.
