Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Graphic Designer to join our team. The Lighting Designer will create conceptual and detailed lighting designs for various facade lighting projects. This role requires a creative individual with a deep understanding of lighting principles, aesthetics, and technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Lighting Designer, preferably in the facade lighting or architectural lighting design field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, AGi32, Relux, or similar).
- Must know 3D designing and be comfortable working with 3D modeling tools/software.
- Strong understanding of lighting principles, photometry, and color theory.
- Ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical lighting solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to understand requirements.
- Develop innovative and conceptually strong lighting designs that meet aesthetic and functional goals.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and renderings to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Produce detailed lighting layouts, calculations, and specifications.
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures, controls, and equipment based on project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with lighting codes, standards, and energy efficiency guidelines.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of lighting design aspects within projects.
- Work closely with engineering teams to integrate lighting designs with architectural plans.
- Provide technical support and guidance during project implementation.
- Present lighting design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client feedback and incorporate revisions into design proposals.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in lighting design.
- Conduct research to enhance design capabilities and propose innovative lighting solutions.
- Experiment with new techniques and materials to achieve desired lighting effects.
- Conduct quality checks and reviews of lighting designs to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Maintain organized project files and records throughout the design process.
